OK... I have been thinking about the usefulness of this blog for a while already. I came to a conclusion that there's no point in keeping this blog running. There ain't that many who follow this blog anyways. But to those who do... I offer you my humble apologies. I appreciate you dropping by here whenever you are free. I'll still be around. Most who follow this blog already know me. For those who don't personally know me, but still wanna keep in touch, do drop me an email at frosteesnow[at]gmail[dot]com. Frostee... over and out
P/S: You know I have been craving for some snow... well I got it. Just got back from NZ last week and it was a blast!
I could not believe my eyes when I read in the news this morning. The headline goes:
"Massive swoop on illegals in Sabah next month"
Awww... come on!!! Sure why don't you warn them first so they can nicely take a break and head back to their hometown for a short holiday and come back AFTER the 'massive' crackdown has gone away from the mass media's radar.
Deputy Prime Minister have to say this, "This shows that the Government has the political will to resolve the issue of illegal immigrants in Sabah... The operation would start from the west part of Sabah as a detention transit camp was ready, and move east".
My view, if the Government has the political will, you don't have to announce anything. Just start the massive operation early tomorrow morning and nab as many as you can. You can go and announce it the next day and scream of the success of operation which just started.
So do they have the political will? From what I read... no way. Blardy chickens. It's like you are the police who's telling the crooks in the house that you are gonna raid the house tomorrow morning at exactly 8.30 a.m. and that the police is gonna start with opening the back door and work to the front and then move upstairs. Duh!
Harlo! How ftoopid can you get??? We are not born yesterday ler. By saying that you have the political will to do this and that just seriously undermines the government's own credibility. It's like you are in total denial and need to tell yourself that you are doing something. I hope the people of Sabah can smell a rotten egg when they presented with one. This one stinks from a mile away.
Or perhaps this news is just a decoy. They are actually gonna start the operation earlier, to catch the illegals off guard. I certainly do hope so... but knowing our current government... they ain't that smart. I sincerely hope to be proven wrong on this. Go ahead... make my day!
I was one of the thousands who had to endure massive traffic jams this morning on my way to work. I do understand that public security is of utmost importance, but I am wondering about the effectiveness of such roadblocks that had been set up all across the city outskirts.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar explained that the police operation is in the interest of public security. The roadblocks are manned by a handful of police officers who just wave everyone by. Blocking two lanes out of four along the Sprint Highway, manned by bored looking police officers does not conjure up an image of a massive police operation in the interest of 'public security'. Such roadblocks had created chaos that affected thousands of people heading to work this morning. Imagine how much it had affected businesses when people cannot even go to work on time.
Resources should be put more effectively into intelligence reports rather than reacting on rumours and hearsay, thus prompting a knee-jerk reaction to a perceived 'threat' to public security. Setting up roadblocks during rush hour is simply ineffective and serves no other purpose but to frustrate everyone and create chaos in the roads.
I don't know about you but looking at the picture below, with that one bored looking cop staring into space, do you think all this is done in the interest of public security? Yougottabeflippinkiddingme.
It has been about exactly 7 years since I last hit the mountains with my mates to ride some snow. Well... it has been busy... like, go do my postgrad, work, get married, 1 kid, moved back to KL from S'pore, then 2nd kid. Guess, I was pretty busy with my life.
Well, come this Sunday, I will join my 3 of good buddies to fly back down to NZ to do some snowboarding. I will be away for a week so don't expect much from this almost infrequent posted blog.
The plan is to get into Queenstown on Monday after an overnight flight from Singapore through Christchurch. Ride snow for the next 3 days, then have a clear day before heading back to Singapore on Saturday and head back to KL on Sunday. Easy-peasy.
Anyways... I miss snowboarding. Oh and I miss playing paintball too. Can I do both at the same time. After some checking... heck hell yeah!
Ask anyone in the streets if they think the allegations of sodomy is true. 99.9% thinks that this is all a stupid joke! The government has gone berserk, along with them the police force, most of the judiciary, and the so-called Anti-Corruption Agency (yeah right anti-corruption my big behind!).
Our leaders sure enjoy being the laughing stock for the rest of the world eh? Welcome to our country where stupidity reigns and idiots rule!
You wonder who's the one ruining the country. Rumour mongers or the people in power.
This is what our esteemed Police Head-Honcho had to say about the rumour spread a few days back about petrol stations being closed for a couple of days:
“I will find out who is behind this and I will take action against them under the Internal Security Act,”
Smart. So smart. Bravo! Threaten everyone with the ISA won't ya. We have idiots ruling this country.
We all have read about the recent Petroleum Dealers Association of Malaysia's notice to all petrol station dealers not to accept credit cards anymore as a form of payment. So what do you all think?
To me it stinks. Whether or not we use a credit card, most businesses offers such a facility because it would be convenient for some people. It's there to facilitate business. If you don't know how to run a business, for goodness sake, don't even start. Simply because you belonged to a privileged lot that can secure you a license to operate a petrol station, does not mean that you have to shy away from risk of doing business.
Hello. Yeap... you say that you are losing profits due to the credit card charges. Use your brain a little bit ler. Here you are, present with a obvious challenge on your business and what do you do? Take the easy way out, whine and make it inconvenient to the people.
You guys sure as hell makes it difficult for the rest of the people since you are still making a flippin' profit right?
Bah! I have had enough of such pea-brained mentality in this country. Idiots rule the bolehland.
Aviation fanatic, former cabin crew, loves the cold, hates the heat, dying to snowboard but don't have a board (yet)...and lack decent snow (or none of it) in the vicinity where he currently is now. Just discovered the fun in scenario paintball.
